The Scientific School of Abrasive Processing and the School of Machining have supported the development of the scientific community for many years and provided a platform for cooperation between science and industry. The development in this area, related to both additive and hybrid technologies as well as the requirements for Industry 4.0, indicates the need to expand the activities of Schools to these areas. In response to this needs, two new Scientific Schools were established: the Scientific School of Additive Manufacturing and the Scientific School Of Production Automation.
The joint conference "Constellation of Scientific Schools of Mechanical Engineering" contributes to the cooperation of these Schools and is an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience of scientists, entrepreneurs and PhD students.
